Threads Uncovered Returns Policy

Threads Uncovered sells pre-loved and vintage clothing. All items are carefully checked, photographed and described before sale. Please read the item description, measurements and condition notes before purchasing.

Change-of-mind returns

As a UK business seller, we accept returns in line with UK consumer law.

You have 14 days from the day after delivery to tell us that you wish to cancel your order. You then have a further 14 days to send the item back to us. You do not need to give a reason for cancelling.

To start a return, please contact us through the platform you purchased from or by direct message/email before sending anything back.

Return condition

Items must be returned in the same condition they were received.

Returned items must be:

  • unworn, other than trying on indoors;
  • unwashed and unaltered;
  • free from marks, make-up, fake tan, perfume, smoke, pet hair or odours;
  • returned with any original tags, packaging or extras included in the order.

We may reduce your refund if the item has been handled beyond what is necessary to inspect or try it on.

Return postage

For change-of-mind returns, the buyer is responsible for return postage costs.

We strongly recommend using a tracked postage service and keeping proof of postage. The item remains your responsibility until it reaches us.

Refunds

Once we receive the returned item, or once you provide valid proof that it has been sent back, we will process your refund within 14 days.

For change-of-mind returns, we will refund the item price and the original standard delivery cost, where applicable. Upgraded or express delivery costs will not be refunded.

Refunds will be made using the original payment method or through the platform used to purchase the item.

Faulty or not-as-described items

If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or significantly not as described, please contact us as soon as possible with clear photos and a description of the issue.

Where an item is confirmed to be faulty or not as described, we will resolve this in line with your statutory rights. This may include a refund, return postage reimbursement, repair, replacement, or another suitable resolution.

Please note that vintage and second-hand items may show signs of previous wear. Any noticeable flaws will be shown or described where possible. General vintage wear, sizing differences, or minor colour variation caused by lighting/screens will not usually be treated as faults if they were shown or described accurately.

Platform purchases

If you purchased through Depop, Vinted, Instagram or another platform, please start your return through that platform where possible. Platform rules may also apply, but they do not affect your statutory rights.
