Threads Uncovered Shipping Policy

Threads Uncovered sells pre-loved and vintage clothing. All orders are packed carefully and shipped using tracked or recorded delivery where possible.

Dispatch times

Orders are usually dispatched within 1–3 working days after payment has been received.

Dispatch times may be slightly longer during busy periods, bank holidays, weekends or where there are postal delays.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive tracking information where available.

Delivery times

Estimated UK delivery time is usually 2–5 working days after dispatch, depending on the delivery service used.

Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless a guaranteed delivery service has been purchased and confirmed before dispatch.

Delivery address

Please make sure your delivery address is correct before placing an order.

Threads Uncovered is not responsible for orders sent to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the buyer. If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect address, failed delivery, or failure to collect from a delivery office, the buyer will be responsible for any re-delivery postage costs.

Original postage costs may not be refunded in these cases, except where required by law.

Missed deliveries and returned parcels

If delivery is attempted and the parcel is not collected or rearranged within the courier’s timeframe, it may be returned to us.

If the parcel is returned to us, we can either:

  • resend the order once the buyer pays the new postage cost; or
  • cancel and refund the order, minus any postage costs we are legally allowed to deduct.

Lost or delayed parcels

If your parcel has not arrived within the estimated timeframe, please contact us so we can investigate with the courier.

Please note that postal delays can happen and are outside our control. However, if an order has not been delivered within the legal delivery timeframe, we will handle this in line with your statutory rights.

Delivery responsibility

Threads Uncovered remains responsible for the parcel until it is delivered to the buyer or to someone nominated by the buyer, such as a neighbour, collection point or safe place.

If the buyer requests delivery to a safe place, neighbour, parcel shop or alternative location, this is at the buyer’s own risk once the courier confirms delivery to that chosen location.

Damaged parcels

If your parcel arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible with clear photos of the packaging and item.

If an item is damaged in transit or arrives faulty, we will resolve this in line with your statutory rights.

International shipping

International shipping may be available on request.

Buyers outside the UK are responsible for any customs fees, import duties, taxes or handling charges applied by their country. These charges are not included in the item price or postage cost.

Threads Uncovered is not responsible for delays caused by customs checks or international postal services.
